The Collection
The inhabited museum
Here the collection is not kept behind glass.
It is walked through.
Photographs, old postcards, woodwork, ceramics, zellige, everyday objects, pieces of craftsmanship and fragments of memory sit quite naturally within the daily life of the house.
Some pieces were handed down. Others were sought out, discovered or rescued.
All of them have a history.
Together they form less an inventory than an intimate portrait of Morocco through the eye of Rachid Haloui.
Each work will be presented in turn, with its provenance and its history.
